West Virginia Flooding Relief (July 2)

Our last project was organized and lead by brother Hanna who is a member of my service committee. Her project was assisting in a relief for a community in the state of West Virginia that was affected by flooding. Two brothers participated.

The first thing they were required to do was take care of the animals at the local Humane Society. The animals were bathed and walked. Their other task was to clear out a house. Unfortunately, the road was washed out so they were not able to do that. During the service project, our brothers were able to talk to some of the local residents to learn more about their area as well as their lifestyles.

One of the brothers that attended the project wrote about her experience on her personal blog. Check it out here.

Thanks to Hanna for providing me this information.
